Quang Nam province’s tourism booms

  Quang Nam province hosted a record 2.3 million tourists in the first 8 months of 2012, earning VND3 trillion (US$143 million).
The figure was announced on Aug-29th at a conference in Hoi An city to sum up 15 years of Quang Nam tourism.
The province, home to world heritage sites Hoi An ancient town, My Son sanctuary, and Cham Island biosphere reserve, hosted 2.5 million tourists in last year.
In 1997, the province earned around VND47 billion (US$2.2 million).
